![]() hello all, here is my input on typeface... my reasons why helvetica type is not appropriate for our signage system in CCF: (1) overused and overplayed (2) some letter shapes look the same from a distance such as O and C (3) letter spacing between I and M too close unless kerning is adjusted but that would make spacing in other letters inconsistent (4) the B and R are too similar (5) personally, i don't think it's suitable for our purposes to use just any sans serif typeface for our signages. my suggestion is that we choose from the ones that are currently being used for airport signages for style and clarity purposes as well. link 1 link 2 link 3 introduction to wayfinding FF Din Font why people get lost in buildings: some samples of signages i saw with frutiger. note: this does not necessarily mean i'm recommending the material being used in the pictures. will research on that in the future. thanks! -carlo eustaquio ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
